Children Who Sing Themselves to Sleep Eventually Go Mad is the story of Lily Whitby, the leader of a lifestyle organisation which preaches that, if you follow all the sayings and superstitions your grandmother taught you, you will live a happy and trouble-free life.

But Lily Whitby's past is haunted by ghosts she can't escape from. Who is the Man in the Brown Suit? Who set fire to the nightclub where she used to perform? And why did her grandmother warn her, one Christmas Eve, that if she sang herself to sleep, she would eventually go mad? 

Children Who Sing Themselves to Sleep Eventually Go Mad was originally performed at the Space Arts Centre in 2006, starring Olivia Armstrong, Duncan Moore, Lucy Patchett, Leanne Bracegirdle and Morag Galloway, directed by Ewen Moore.
